Cairn of Mercury Ahrrenius
A few months back my beloved beta fish, Mercury, passed away. I'd had him for a little over two years and childish as it may be I was quite attached to that silly fish. Loving him as I did, I couldn't bear to flush him down the toilet. That kind of exit from this world simply wouldn't do his life justice. In tears I entered my roommates room with the bowl containing my now deceased Mercury. She accompanied me, along with a JCrew jewlery bag, outside to some bushes near our apartment building. We placed mercury in the bag, dug a hole with a spoon and buried him. Instinctively I took the rocks from the bottom of his bowl and laid them over his resting place. After beginning this class and learning about ancient cairns I immediately thought of where I had buried Mercury and was pleased to find that after several months his rocks were still there. I have now named it Cairn of Mercury Ahrrenius.
